All cleaned up!

A record number of people turned up Sunday morning to help clean our parks – Fred Hamilton, Roxton Road, and George Ben.

61 bags of leaves, multiple bags of garbage, and unfortunately some hazardous waste were gathered and will be picked up by the City.

1st prize for most exotic find goes to Jess for her Pony hoof (although most people thought it belonged to a Unicorn) 2nd prize to Vanessa for her oil & vinegar jar (actually a bong!) and 3rd prize to Doug for his rhombic dodecahedron die (12 multi-sided blue dice)

Thank you Jess, Peter, Vanessa, Nate, Racquel, Larry, Mismak, Tim, Sarah, Meg, Kathryn, Margarit, Doug, Kate, Linda, Helen, Tony, Asher, Julie, Samantha, Ben, Sydney, Pete, Rhea, Amba, Zac, & Scott & Jill. I think I missed some people – my apologies, I hope you will come out again and we can connect!
Special thanks to Ben and Rhea for keeping the coffee and snacks  coming in Fred’s – it certainly helped sustain all of you volunteers!

Treats provided by:
– Cookies from The College Promenade Business Association & The Night Baker

– Ben who supplied Prairie Boy bread, Rosen’s Cinnamon spread, butter, and some jam, and brewed us up some Roxton Road coffee.

– Helen who supplied her home-made apple muffins, and

– Bob who supplied his super sweet chocolate cake.
