Don’t miss Environment Day May 5, 2018

Scoring compost in 2016!

This year Environment Day in Fred Hamilton Park will be on Saturday May 5th from 10am to 2pm.  It’s the liveliest day in our park every year as we meet up with our neighbours after a long winter, load up on compost, and dispose of hazardous waste from our homes. This year we’ll have our first BBQ out of Fred’s, our new kitchenette!  More details to come closer to the date so be sure to mark this in your calendars now!

A group of neighbours met a couple weeks ago with Alana Corkery of the not-for-profit ClearWater Farms which offers a weekly drop off of organically grown farm fresh produce, eggs, and meat.  We are thrilled that Fred’s will be a drop off location this year. Weekly deliveries on Wednesdays will hopefully begin in April.  No long term commitments needed, but we think you won’t want to miss a week! If you want to hear more about getting these wholesome foods at fair prices delivered almost to your door, stay tuned here for further details, check out ClearWater’s website, or come out on Environment Day to learn more!
