You are invited this Sunday June 12th to the official launch of the “laneway puncture prototype”. The launch is in Fred Hamilton Park and runs from 10 a.m. to around noon. We’ll be in the laneway overlooking the lower level playground. As added bonuses, our Councillor Mike Layton is planning to joining us around 10 a.m. and we’re being treated to free freshly made gelato!
The City of Toronto, The David Suzuki Foundation and their partner groups are inviting everyone to mark the completion of the construction phase of the prototype and the hand-over to the community for the greening phase. We are 1 of only 2 locations in Toronto selected for this prototype. The second prototype runs parallel to Christie on the west side, just south of Fiesta Farms.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand to share information and answer questions. We will be given “seed bombs” to scatter in the puncture to start the greening.
I hope to see you there!
