Fred Hamilton Park

Beginning at 11:30, there will be the official launch of the exciting new Waterharvest project.

Park Clean-Up: On Sunday April 24, FoRRP members, neighbours, and friends did a major Spring clean-up of Fred Hamilton and Roxton Road parks. Thanks to students and staff at St., Luke’s for their clean-up of George Ben park. Happily, the parks were generally in good shape. However, about 90% of what was picked up was cigarette butts.

Councillor Mike Layton and his delightful five-month-old daughter Phoebe came by to help out. Thanks to Zac, Tim, Dylan, Jill, Aubrey, Christian, Paul, Meg, Jill, Violet (the youngest one cleaning up), and Bob for all their hard work. Dylan won the prize for “most exotic” item with what looked like a metal ritualistic object of unknown origin. At the end of all their hard work, everyone enjoyed a delicious fruit pie.
