Pancake Breakfast: The fourth annual “Get out of Bed, Have Breakfast with Fred” pancake breakfast In Fred Hamilton Park on Sunday February 7th was a great success helped along by the spring-like weather.
Tim did his usual amazing pancake flipping of Jill’s delicious pancake batter, Bob provided bananas, blueberries, maple Syrup, and mini M&Ms for perfect fun toppings. With a variety of black and pink moustaches worn by kids and adults alike, the Year of the Sombrero was celebrated in high fashion!
John organized an impromptu shinny hockey game at the park’s crossroads. Councillor Mike Layton arrived pushing Phoebe in a stroller and introduced her to everyone to a chorus of oohs and ahs! Rhea’s colourful mitts for the Ugly ToqueContest winners were a great hit and Pat’s delicious hot chocolate made for a perfect pancake day! Thanks to Paola of the Candy Bar toque who generously donated a toque for the draw. Thanks as always to the Events Committee, Rhea, Tim, Pat, and Bob for all their planning and hard work.
