Environment Day in Fred Hamilton Park

Saturday April 25 from 10-2 is City of Toronto’s Community Environment Day in Fred Hamilton Park.

FoRRP is joining with the City to celebrate this day.

Come out and meet your neighbours, pick up some of the free city-provided compost, and dispose of batteries, paint, and old computers in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

FoRRP will be there with information about how to get involved with the parks and a chance to buy a “Who is Fred Hamilton” T-shirt.

Bring your appetite too!  Enbridge, Councillor Layton’s office, and FoRRP are teaming up to run a
BBQ lunch from 11 to 1pm in the park.  Both meat and vegetarian options will be available. The BBQ is PWYC with a suggested donation of $5 per person.  Proceeds will go towards outfitting our future community kitchen!

We still need a few volunteers to help out at Environment Day, please contact us if you are available.

So, come out and enjoy Environment Day with your family, friends, and neighbours! See you on Saturday!
