On Saturday August 10, 2013, Friends of Roxton Road Park celebrated the Second Annual Block Party in Fred Hamilton Park. With perfect weather, the garage sale, bake sale, BBQ, and the fantastic music made for a wonderful fun-filled day!
Thanks to all the musicians and bands who shared their exciting music. One of the highlights of the day was the performance by the Woodshed Orchestra who paraded through the park filling it with their delightful music.
Thanks to Rhea, Pat, Zac, Naomi, Tim, and Bob of the Events Committee for a super job in organizing the event. Special thanks to John for the stage and all the sound equipment and to Tim for organizing all the fantastic music! Thanks to Rhea for organizing the raffle. Thanks also to all those who contributed to the bake sale and to Julie who sold all the delicious goodies. Thanks to Dylan and Leo who served up the delicious dogs and burgers. Thanks to Jill and Zac for selling T-shirts and signing up new members for FORRP. Thanks to the children for selling lemonade. Thanks to Aidan of Community Canoe for the canoe display. And last but not least special thanks to Metro and Enbridge for the BBQ, we appreciate your ongoing support of our events!!
