Come to our Community OPEN HOUSE next week!

The Friends of Roxton Road Parks (FoRRP) and Councillor Mike Layton invite you to an Open House about your parks: Fred Hamilton Playground, Roxton Road Parkette, and the George Ben Park.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday September 19 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Bellwoods Park House, 300 Shaw Street.

Please feel free free to drop in at any time during the Open House to share your ideas with us. Signs will be posted at the entrance directing neighbours toward the location of the meeting inside the building.

You are invited to review detailed plans for the Fred Hamilton Playground ramp to be completed this fall, and preview a new proposal based on your earlier feedback that includes planning principles for all park improvements, as well as some specific ideas for upgrades to the parks in 2013 including paving the pathways and upgrading the washroom building.

We are still looking for community input on the idea of providing food and beverage in Fred Hamilton Playground. If you haven’t yet completed our food survey, please do so either at the open house or online here. The survey deadline is September 30th.

We welcome your feedback at this critical stage of planning for 2013 and are always interested in hearing your ideas about improving the future of our parks!

If you will be unable to attend but would like to see the materials on display, a full copy of the 2013 proposal currently under review can be accessed here, and please do not hesitate to contact Marco at 416-392-4009 or mbianch@toronto.ca with questions or input.

We hope to see you on September 19th!
FoRRP and Councillor Mike Layton, Ward 19, Trinity Spadina
