The Friends of Roxton Road Parks. along with Councillor Mike Layton, are holding an Open House in order to gather community input on ideas for the revitalization of Fred Hamilton Park. Watch for your copy of the community consultation flyer—Mike Layton’s office will be delivering to your doorstep if you live in the catchment area. If you are outside the catchment and interested in the park, see below for details from the flyer, and please come help make our park as good as it can be on March 21st!

Fred Hamilton Park Open House

Dear Friends,

A group of residents in your neighbourhood have approached me looking to revitalize Fred Hamilton Park. Over the past year, my office has been working with members of the community to figure out a preliminary plan for the park located between Shaw and Roxton, and Dundas and College. There are funds that my office has available from property development in the ward that will be directed to this project.

I would like to invite you to join me at an open house to add your thoughts and ideas to this ongoing process. The meeting will be taking place:

Wednesday, March 21
7:00 – 9:00 pm
College/Shaw Library, 766 College Street

Please feel free to drop in at any time for any amount of time to share your ideas with me. Signs will be posted at the entrance directing neighbours toward the location of the meeting inside the building.

If you will be unable to attend, but would like to see the materials on display, or add your input, please do not hesitate to contact my assistant Marco at 416 392 4009 and/or mbianch@toronto.ca.

You should also visit this great website being set-up by your neighbours to track the changes in the park: http://www.roxtonroadparks.com.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Yours in community,
Councillor Mike Layton
